After Lord of The Rings trilogy, no one should question the ability of Peter Jackson creating such a great movies. “Return of the King” took every Oscars they got nominated of. So, I think when Jackson decide to do King Kong, it wasn’t for award purpose anymore. It’s about showing how confident he was, how he was probably one of the greatest director in the whole planet.
So, I don’t mind to say that this movie was a “show off” of the talent that Jackson have. Everything was just so great that it made my brain hurt to try to think how on earth he did this. The more I think about it the more frustrate I became. So then I decided to just enjoy the adventure of Ann Durham with the Kong. It felt better that way I admit.
It’s hard to find any flaw in this movie. I kinda wish that I watch it on the theater so maybe with bigger screen I can observe better? Or I would have to let myself to calm down and try to enjoy the movie like the way it is, you know as entertainment. Again, that was the right thing to do.
Don’t ask me which is my favorite part of the movie because then it would hurt my brain again since I basically love every single of it.
Okay, if you’re really insist about the flaw, then maybe it was just a bit too long so I started to get headache during the last 20 minutes of it. So was it a bad movie then? Nope. that’s because I sometimes had to delay blinking my eyes so I won’t miss every great thing on it.
World Trade Center
If it wasn’t based on true story, I would probably consider this movie boring. The drama they had already offered by Hollywood million times. However, since the story wasn’t just made up so I was more open minded on this one. So, I guess I have to say that I like it. The true story about police officers that trapped when trying to save the victims when the World Trade Center got hit by airplanes surely “interested” to watch. The movie was done great, nothing too much or too less. I like Nicolas Cage in this one. I think most of the movies I saw with him on it always with some overrated made up character, so I am glad to see him act as humble ordinary guy which he could play really great actually.
I saw some movies about 9/11 but I still like United 93 the best (*)
